Abstract
Malaria is a disease caused by Plasmodium. Treatment and prevention of malaria is also influenced by knowledge, attitudes and actions. The low level of public knowledge about the causes, transmission and prevention of malaria greatly affects the spread of the disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of community knowledge and actions about malaria in Koya Barat Village, RT 01 & 02/RW 05 in 2022. The research method used in this study was descriptive. This study was conducted in July 2022 with a total of 78 respondents that meet the inclusion criteria. The results obtained from the characteristics of respondents in the Kelurahan Koya Barat, RT. 01 and 02/RW. 05, that the highest respondents were in the age group 17–25 years as many as 23 respondents (29%). Gender Male as many as 40 respondents (51%). The last education was SMA as many as 54 respondents (69%) and the occupation of Farmers as many as 40 respondents (51%). The level of knowledge about the symptoms of malaria is in the good category as many as 63 respondents (81%). The highest level of knowledge about malaria treatment was in the good category as many as 78 respondents (100%). The level of knowledge about malaria prevention is in the good category as many as 77 respondents (99%). From the results of the study it can be concluded that the level of public knowledge about malaria is Good.
