Abstract
A prescription is a written request from a doctor to the Pharmacy Management Pharmacist to prepare and make, concoct, and distribute medicines to patients (Syamsuni, 2006). Meanwhile, according to Permenkes 73 of 2016, prescription is a written request from a doctor or dentist to pharmacists both in paper and electronic form to provide and submit medicines for patients in accordance with applicable regulations. The purpose of this study is to determine the average drug items per prescription sheet, the percentage of generic drug prescribing, the percentage of antibiotic prescribing, the percentage of prescribing injection preparations, the percentage of drugs prescribed from the list of essential drugs or Formulary and the number of prescriptions that have been in accordance with WHO prescribing indicators. The method of collecting data in the study is to use the survey method. The population in this study was the entire child's prescription at the Abepura Health Center. Data collection is carried out through children's prescriptions at the Abepura Health Center. The results showed that the characteristics of patients based on age the most were in the age group of 0 months – 5 years as many as 53 patients (88%), with a female gender of 33 patients (55%). The average number of drugs prescribed for pediatric patients calculated per prescription sheet is 4.48. The prescribing of generic drugs for pediatric patients at the Abepura health center is unqualified, namely 224 drugs (83%). The most prescribed antibiotics at the Abepura health center were negligible, namely 231 drugs (86%). The most prescribed injection preparations at the Abepura Health Center were unqualified, namely 268 drugs (100%). The percentage of prescribing drugs according to the formulary then the data shows that the percentage of drugs prescribed from the list of essential drugs or formularies is 222 drugs (83%) so that they do not meet the requirements of WHO prescribing indicators.
