Abstract
TB resistant drug is a condition in which TB germs (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) are resistant to OAT (anti-tuberculosis drugs). The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the treatment of drug-resistant TB patients at the Sentani Health Center, Jayapura Regency. This type of research is descriptive research. This research was conducted at the Sentani Health Center in May 2023 using an instrument in the form of an observation sheet to collect data from medical records. The study population was drug-resistant TB patients at the Sentani Health Center in 2021–2022 with a total sample of 30 patients. From the results of data collection, it was found that most of the drug-resistant patients aged 26–35 years were 16 patients (53.5%), with male sex were 17 patients (56.7%), and female were 13 patients (43.3%). Based on occupation, most of the patients worked as farmers with 18 patients (60.0%). Most RO TB patients were long-term treatment patients, namely 23 patients (76.7%), and short-term patients as many as 7 patients (23.3%). The types of drugs given to drug-resistant TB patients were 30 patients receiving Bedaquiline (18.1%), Clofazimine (18.1%), Levofloxacin (18.1%), and Vitamin B6 (18.1%), while in 23 patients received cycloserine (13.8%) and linezolid (13.8%). Each patient received only one dose of the six types of drugs used, namely Bedaquiline 200 mg (18.1%), Clofazimine 100 mg (18.1%), Levofloxacin 250 mg (18.1%), and Vitamin B6 100 mg (18.1%), cycloserine 500 mg (13.8%) and linezolid 500 mg (13.8%). The total frequency of drugs given to TB patients is once a day (100%). The dosage forms of the drugs given were 136 tablets (81.9%) and 30 capsules (18.1%). Conclusion: Drug-resistant TB patients at the Sentani Health Center receive more than 4 types of TB drugs.
