Tuberculosis is a disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis which can infect the lungs and other body parts through air contaminated with sputum sprinkling of TB patients. So, it is necessary to know about how to prevent and treat this disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of public knowledge about the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis in the Dobonsolo Village, RW 01, Jayapura Regency. This research was a descriptive study conducted in July 2021 in the Dobonsolo Village, RW 01, Jayapura Regency. The number of samples were 80 respondents and data collected using a questionnaire. The characteristics of the respondents obtained that they have the highest age range at 17-25 years with 29 respondents (36.25%), female were 41 respondents (51.25%), and the education level were senior high school with 28 respondents (35%). Meanwhile, the level of respondent's knowledge about TB prevention of 29 respondents (36.25%) had poor knowledge level, 28 respondents (35%) had good knowledge level and 23 respondents (28.75%) have sufficient knowledge level. Knowledge about tuberculosis treatment, 37 respondents (46.25%) categorized as poor, sufficient level of knowledge with 24 respondents (30%) and good level of knowledge with 19 respondents (24%). So it can be concluded that the community of Dobonsolo neighbourhood 01 have a low level of knowledge about the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis.
